Hertha (Dorothea Elisabeth) Sponer
(1 Sep 1895 - 17 Feb 1968)

German physicist who became James Franck's assistant at Göttingen University in 1932, whom she married in 1946. Her research contributed to modern quantum mechanics and molecular physics.
