Carl Dietrich Harries
(5 Aug 1866 - 3 Nov 1923)

German chemist and industrialist who developed the ozonolysis process (Harries reaction) to determine the structure of natural rubber (polyisoprene). He contributed to the early development of synthetic rubber.
