Edwin Hubbell Chapin
(29 Dec 1814 - 26 Dec 1880)

American clergyman and author who was a popular speaker in America from the 1840s until his death. He co-founded the Chapin Home for indigent men and women. In 1854, he wrote Humanity in the City, which addressed social problems in urban centers, especially children and the marginalized.
